코로나19으로 2년간 사망한 인구가 1천500만여명에 달하는 것으로 조사됐다. 이는 당초 집계됐던 500만명을 3배 능가하는 수치다. 세계보건기구(WHO)가 5일 발표한 국가별 사망자수 통계자료에 따르면, 멕시코는 당초 정부 공식집계보다 2배 늘었고, 이집트는 무려 12배 사망자수가 많은 것으로 나타났다.
