타임스퀘어(50스트릿@7애브뉴)에 자리했던 뉴욕시 마지막 공중전화가 뉴욕시박물관(Museum of the City of New York)의 소장품으로 들어간다. 이 공중전화는 지난 5월 27일 철거됐으며, 뉴욕시박물관의 특별전 '아날로그 도시(Analogue City)'에 전시된다.

뉴욕시엔 2000년대 초반까지만해도 약 3만개의 공중전화가 있었지만, 지난 7년 동안 LinkNYC 키오스크로 교체되어 왔다.

The relic was acquired by the Museum of the City of New York and included in the exhibition Analog City, which highlights the technologies that enabled NYC to “reach its position as the ‘capital of the world.’”
