맨해튼 테이스팅 메뉴 레스토랑 아토믹스(Atomix)의 박정현(Junghyun Park)씨가 2023 제임스비어드재단상(James Beard Foundation Awards)의 뉴욕주 최우수 셰프상을 수상했다.
6월 5일 시카고의 릴릭 오페라에서 열린 시상식에서 '미 요식업계의 오스카상'으로 불리우는 제임스비어드재단상은 30여년 역사상 처음으로 전국 부문에서 뉴욕 식당에 상을 주지 않았다고 Eater.com이 비판했다.
2023 제임스비어드재단상 미 최우수 셰프는 워싱턴 DC 오이스터 오이스터(Oyster Oyster)의 롭 러바(Bob Rubba), 최우수 레스토랑은 필라델피아의 'Friday Saturday Sunday), 최우수 뉴 레스토랑은 포틀렌드의 칸(Kann)이 차지했다.
