기사식당 Kisa Sikdang in NYC

한국에서 택시기사들이 즐겨찾는 '기사 식당'이 감소중이지만, 이 컨셉을 내세운 백반 전문 기사 식당(Kisa Sikdang)이 4월 20일 맨해튼 로어이스트사이드(205 Allen St.)에 오픈했다. 

David JoonWoo Yun(윤준우), Steve JaeWoo Choi(최재우), Yong Min Kim(김용민)씨가 운영하는 36석 규모의 기사식당은 구식 TV, 벽걸이 선풍기, 한국 달력, 커피 자동판매기 등으로 내부를 장식했다.

메뉴는 가정식 백반으로 제육볶음/ 불고기/ 보리밥, 열무김치, 고사리, 표고버섯, 도라지를 넣은 보리 비빔밥/오징어 볶음 등에 김치, 감자조림, 새우장, 청포묵 무침, 김, 소시지-떡 구이, 계란말이 등 7가지의 반찬에 나오며 세트 가격은 32달러. 

Kisa Sikdang, known as the "driver restaurant," is a laid-back diner in Korea that has been catering to taxi drivers since the 1980s. Renowned for its flavorful and affordable meals, Kisa Sikdang offers authentic Korean cuisine that satisfies both the palate and the wallet.  

"Kisa" brings the authentic taste of Korea to New York City, complete with seasonally curated banchan (side dishes) and perfected main entrée such as bulgogi, spicy pork, bibimbap, spicy squid.
