브로드웨이에선 올 가을 재즈 뮤지션 루이 암스트롱 뮤지컬 'What a Wonderful World'가 공연되고, 내년 시카고에선 권투선수 무하마드 알리(Muhammad Ali, 1942-2016)의 뮤지컬이 세계 초연된다. 클린트 다이어(Clint Dyer)의 각본, 연출, 테디 에이브럼스(Teddy Abrams) 작곡으로 내년 4월 22일 시카고 제임스 M. 네덜란드 시어터에서 초연될 예정이다. 

뮤지컬 '알리'는 켄터키주 루이빌에서 보낸 알리의 어린 시절부터 사상 최고의 위대한 복서, 민권운동가, 연예인, 시인, 화가 등으로서 알리의 다각적 삶을 조명한다.
