'아노라' 할리우드 감독/제작자 공인 오스카 작품상 근접

지난해 칸영화제 황금종려상을 수상한 션 베이커 감독의 '아노라(Anora)'가 미감독협회(DGA)와 미제작자협회(PGA) 최우수 작품상을 수상했다. 또한 비평가의 선택상(Critic's Choice Award) 작품상도 거머쥐었다.
'아노라'는 지난 1월 골든글로브상 시상식에서 뮤지컬/코미디 부문 작품, 감독, 각본, 여우주연, 남우조연상에서 모두 고배를 마셨다. 골든글로브 작품상 등 7개 부문을 휩쓴 프랑스 감독 자크 오디아르(Jacques Audiard)의 스페인어 뮤지컬 '에밀리아 페레즈(Emilia Pérez)에 밀려났었다. '에밀리아 페레즈'의 여우조연상 수상 트랜스젠더 배우 카를라 소피아 가스콘(Karla Sofía Gascón)이 소셜미디어에 이슬람 혐오 및 인종차별적 포스트가 공개된 후 비판에 휩싸이며 이 스페인어 뮤지컬이 각종 영화상에서 밀려나는 중이다.
'아노라'를 배급하는 네온(Neon)은 2020년 '기생충(Parasite)'로 오스카상 작품, 감독, 각본, 국제극영화상을 석권했다. '아노라'는 2011년 브래드 피트 주연, 테렌스 말릭 감독의 '트리 오브 라이프(Tree of Life)'이후 첫 칸 황금종려상을 수상한 첫 미국영화다. '에밀리아 페레즈'는 아카데미 작품, 감독, 여우조연(카를라 소피아 가스콘) 등 13개 부문, '아노라'는 아카데미 작품, 감독, 각본, 여우주연, 남우조연, 편집상 등 6개 후보에 올라 있다. 제 97회 아카데미상 시상식은 3월 2일 열린다.
